Natural Beauty Tips for The Future Beauty

Spring Time Glow

Spring time is here! Out with the scarves and in with the sundresses and sandals. As I skim magazines and various make-up ads I always wonder how I can achieve the same fresh, healthy looking skin without layering on all the makeup their advertising... So I did some research and I stumbled upon this secret: achieving healthy looking skin is more than just taking a magic pill or getting some special procedure. Putting the right things in your body has more of an affect than what you put on top of it. Think of it this way, what goes into your body must come out so if all you eat is junk food your face is probably going to show it. That being said, the natural foods we find in the earth will help us achieve that natural glow.

In the spring time the fruits are fresh, healthy, and bright which, if added to your diet, equals skin that is fresh, healthy, and bright! Here are some healthy food choices to consider:

1. Water: Water is not only great for our bodies internally, but it is also fabulous for our skin. The more water you drink the more your body is able to flush out toxins and impurities. Water also hydrates the cells of our skin, making your face more plump and less sunken in and wrinkly. To make sure you're getting enough water throughout the day try investing in a cute water bottle so you'll be excited about drinking your water.

2. Berries: Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries. Berries galore. Berries are great for our skin because they are loaded with antioxidants that assist in skin repair. Antioxidants help prevent free radical damage from the different toxins we are exposed to throughout the day. As we age our bodies become more susceptible to free radical damage which leads to aging and possibly even cancer. Adding berries to your diet will not only benefit you now but ensure that your skin stays healthy for a life time!

3. Broccoli: I remember when I was younger my mother always made me eat my broccoli. She said it was good for me but I wrestled and fussed because I never understood why it was so good. Come to find out broccoli is a great vegetable for improving skin because it is full of Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps with cell turnover of the skin, meaning old cells are being replaced with new ones at a faster rate. Now that sounds good to me! Other sources of Vitamin A: sweet potatoes, carrots, dark leafy greens, apricots, cantaloupe.

Remember the greatest accessory to that beautiful summer dress is naturally glowing skin so start adding these to your regular diet and get ready to see the improvement!
